So, pigeons.

The biggest concern this time, of course, is budgiebin's health; everyone else's schedules may be irrelevant if her throat still isn't up to the rigors of a boisterous hunter-gatherer lifestyle by the weekend. That's up to her, of course.

If she's good to go and we're all healthy, then I guess we should probably think of a time or something, huh? I'm probably going to put in extra hours at work today in exchange for not having to come in and put in even more over the weekend, though neither parts of that statement are 100% guaranteed. If that ends up being the case, though, then tonight is no good, but Saturday will be. 2:00 PM or so Hato Time seems to have worked out fairly good option thus far.

But we'll see, I guess!

I can lightly microwave her throat to keep it warm, if that'll help! ^.^

Tonight past 5pm HST is fine for me, Saturday is okay as long as we don't run late (we have people coming over and it would be much easier to explain the whole rabbit thing to them than this), I'd have to be away before 4pm HST. If everyone turns out to be available, starting a little earlier than normal would be best for me.

Sending good thoughts Budgiebin's way!

I'm probably free saturday or sunday, but things at work are kind of a disaster so I might wind up having to work over the weekend. Not sure what to expect yet.

Okay, it looks like I'm going to be free, although from the looks of the rest of the comments it might be a moot point...

Also, I'm going to be busy all next weekend! (A friend from out of town is visiting... he is a fan of the streams, but he's only seen a couple of episodes (and that's all he's seen of Hatoful Boyfriend period, I think), so I'm not sure if "bonus guest vocalist!" would be fun or just miss the point if he doesn't know the context... but I'm tempted to assume we'll probably be busy anyway.)

Well, seeing as how this morning I found myself back in square one sounding like Aunts Patty and Selma, I'm probably just going to call it now and assume my throat isn't going to be able to handle the rigors of talking nearly continuously for 2 hours, or be pleasant to listen to.

I assume the visit lasts for the full weekend? Judging from our adventure so far there aren't many background characters popping up, so would bonus guest commentator work instead? Maybe temporarily pass the role of "we don't know who this person is" to him...

I can see what I sound/feel like closer to the appointed time, but it's really seeming like a "wait another week" thing. :(

Don't stretch yourself or anything - I'd love to do it, but if we can't this week or next week, then we always said that we'd always do it together :) I may be able to provide a Flash replacement Hato-madness service with the help of Xaq this weekend, too - and I've still got those radio and shrine segments to edit!

Well, I feel really bad about cancelling because the teaser image was Anghel and that is always SUPER FUN! D:

But you're right, it's just best to wait until everyone's available and well. Two weeks, then?

When my original solo Livestream finished up BBL and 100%ed the game and it was all over, there was this sense of melancholy, like, pigeons are over, what now? :( I've said repeatedly from the very beginning that, now that we have our group together and we have a new game to go through, we are going to take our time and do this right, and enjoy it. We have the rare opportunity of having more pigeons, and we are not going to ravenously devour the content like the Cookie Monster in five minutes and then be left all out of pigeons again. If we have to have really short sessions split into a zillion parts or take time off because everyone is sick, that's fine. There is no reason whatsoever to rush this, and several reasons not to.

So if we're already looking two weeks ahead for next time, I should point out that I have a followup "let's make sure everything is healing properly and stuff" checkup appointment at my LASIK place on Saturday the 26th, and I was planning on working in a huge shopping trip while I was out anyway, so I'm going to be gone a fair chunk of the day. I can do it when I get back, of course, but we're talking later in the day at that point. Probably 4-5ish Hato time but I can't promise that this far out. I should be free Friday evening after work, but that's evening, too, isn't it?

You mean “like San with the nutritional supplements”, surely, and perhaps “the rare opportunity of having Moa pigeons” though that may be a bit of a stretch.

This set of timing anticoincidences is… interesting, ish!

Assuming a session lasts for 2 hours, the latest I can start a session without potentially pulling a Kazuaki will be around 8 Hato Time, so 4-5 Hato is just fine for me. Both Friday and Saturday should be free.

I would question chicken soup in these circumstances, but you just reacted to Yuuya getting burned by saying he smells delicious, so I guess it's to be expected.

I like my teas without additives, so I tend to drink a lot of teas that taste good plain. Usually I just have Mint and Green in stock. It's probably better this way, beacuse sugar makes throat problems worse x.x

Looks like she's not the only one whose health is in question. I just spent about 10 minutes leaning over the toilet, and now I feel about a pound lighter.

I'll get back to you if I start feeling better or worse later.

Uh oh. Norovirus by chance? I hear there's an epidemic going 'round. Hope it passes quickly x.x

I'm basically not going to be able to record tonight (my beautiful voice is gone!), so unless we feel better tomorrow, it's probably just going to postpone to next weekend.

I'm definitely not going to be able to record tonight. I've basically got some kind of throat flu, so I feel fine except for coughing, congestion, and an inability to talk without sounding like Steve Urkel. Thankfully, I seem to be over the "misery" part of the proceedings.

I'm much better than I was this morning, but that's probably because I spent the day inhaling as many soothing liquids as possible in complete silence.

There is a small chance I'll be good for tomorrow, but it's looking more likely we may have to postpone to next week... shall we check back tomorrow or just go with waiting?

Ugh, so... I'm hesitant to comment here since this is your personal journal and etc., but it doesn't seem very appropriate to comment in depth on YouTube about things not on YouTube so. Uh. Here I am. though I've been stalking this journal since December for stream times anyway wait stalking is not the right word

Nothing complicated, but I hope everyone who has been sick drinks lots of fluids and gets better quickly. (And everyone whose washing machine has exploded, um. <3?)

It sounds like y'all will likely be busy for the next few weeks, which sucks, but it's really admirable that you're dedicated to experiencing it the best way you can. No disappointment in that. The hatos are patient~

If it makes anyone feel better in the slightest, I found five mourning doves chilling outside my window today, being all kawaii fluffy and Nageki. Today of all days, wild mourning doves happen to be "everywhere in America." They were probably saying something heartwarming with great conviction, b-but I don't speak bird! I'm sorry! OTL

and now to slink away~

I don't mind the commenting at all! The only potential worries I have with having people like you around is how I come across to you; I know you're here for the pigeons, and I hope I'm not freaking out our fans by exposing them to my Yuuya-esque deviancy or, you know, anything weird like that. :P But if you know what you're getting yourself into (and almost everyone else on our team can tell you this is a very big "if") then hello and welcome!

And thank you for your support. :) We always try to do these as soon as we can (especially since this is blind--believe me, there isn't a single person in the group who isn't dying to see Anghel's chapter!) but everyone has to be up for it! Nobirdie gets left behind in this group.

I think this is the first time you have ever left me a comment with characters that display perfectly in my e-mail notification, but then turn into broken squares/asdh; fail-text/whatever when I go to see it on the webpage. It's always the exact other way around; I'm used to getting e-mails just to inform me that you said something and then having to visit the page just to read it. I don't know why you chose to be backwards this time! (Because that was obviously something you chose to do.)

Probably something to do with fonts! Also I used decimal entities rather than including the characters inline, and I can imagine browsers having bugs that cause those to get shaped separately, which wouldn't work here since they're combining characters (but that seems less likely).

I am irrationally pleased at having managed to induce unusual states in your machinery though. Also I'm not sure why your email notifications would usually have difficulty with my comments, since they're usually fairly plain, unless it's something to do with my use of no-auto-format and manual p tags and the like.

Historically, the things you do to defeat my e-mail's ability to render them have always been the sort of character substitutions that Microsoft Word always uses on a fresh install (for about ten seconds, until I get infuriated and go to the options and settings and turn everything off.) The left- and right-leaning smart quotes instead of regular straight " quotes, the three-dot ellipsis character instead of just typing out three dots (...), etc. Webpage viewing sees those just fine, e-mail cannot handle them.

But I like properly typeset punctuation. ;.;

Maybe it's UTF-8↔ISO-8859-1 文字化け or something? I don't get the HTML emails, though I notice the plain text ones have a proper charset="utf-8" in the Content-Type (at least after passing through my mailer). Oh well. *starts appending combining characters to you like a game of codepoint Hatris*

Append: oh, and I type those directly with the Compose key usually (which I have set to physical F9). Here, let's try this out of curiosity, if you don't mind:

  • “This—is—SPARTAwhat happens when I use Compose < " and Compose - - - and such to enter the characters directly. This is rather easier to see in the edit window, at least…”
  • “Here—have some decimal entities instead…”
  • “HTML-specific, named-entity quotation marks… ellipses… and giga—drill—beaks!”

So basically it is UTF-8 mojibake with some kind of unibyte charset, and if you haven't checked that checkbox I told you about then make sure it's off and if that doesn't help then hrfbl.
