Sign that you probably haven't been working out enough before: when you finally start, after a while, you do your usual stretches and such before jogging, and think "whoa, my upper leg/thigh areas are kind of bulgy. That's weird. Are they misshapen? Should I maybe get that looked at? I hope it's not...wait...hold on, I think those might be muscles."

I'm not exaggerating, either. That thought process actually happened. :(

Now if only that could happen to the chest/stomach area since that's what I'm trying for and still haven't gotten anything in yet, but any results anywhere are better than nothing, I guess!

When it comes to fitness as a survival tool, the lower body is definitely more important anyway :)

That may be so! However, since I happen to like the slender-but-toned aesthetic and my goal is basically to look like

(only without being an Argonian, of course) then I still have a ways to go!

Grr! Why can't I scroll down?! :P

I sure wouldn't mind having a figure like that though! ... or actually look like that, assuming I wouldn't get shot/experimented on.

Aww, you don't want to be experimented on? :p

That screenshot is a mashup of lots of various Oblivion mods--a body replacer/nude patch to get rid of that horrible loincloth it defaults to (which really looks more like a diaper than anything else) and give him that slender yet sculpted physique of which I'm so fond, texture packs for just about everything, including one that gives much much higher-res textures for Argonians (without which he looks more like this,) etc. The problem is that all these mods, being mods, don't necessarily communicate with each other perfectly. The biggest example is that the texture replacer doesn't do anything to update the genitalia, because why would it? The genitalia only exist because of a different mod, so....

Anyway, in the end, I decided a clever artistic extremely-low-but-not-quite-low-enough crop paired with the viewer's imagination would be more alluring than actually showing the rather odd-looking and probably underwhelming polygonal junk. Plus, the the fact that it doesn't show anything expands my options for when I'm allowed to use it, like how I just dropped it inline right in the middle of a post instead of hiding it behind a click-to-see link with an NSFW warning.

But yes, that figure is definitely what I'm trying for, here!

I, for one, appreciate the crop

Background: Qarl's Texture Pack III
Body: Robert's Male Body (the slender version), Argonian Beautification (the claws and the updated textures, but not the freaky Morrowind feet, not that you could see those in this particular screenshot anyway though.) There may or may not have been something by Slof in there somewhere--he did a lot of mods that work off Robert's Male Body--but it's been long enough since I checked that I can't remember, and Slof sort of took down all his mods in a fit of drama so you wouldn't be able to get them anymore anyway.

Edit: Also, the backdrop there is the master bedroom of Benirus Manor in Anvil after it's purified (after the "Where Spirits Have Lease" quest line,) if you were curious. Also also, I got that pose by making a clone of myself with a console command, then walking over to one side just enough so that the clone would be turning his head to look at me without actually turning the rest of his body, then freed the camera with another console command and moved the camera back to where I was before while remaining in the current position, thus getting that awesome "looking off to the side" shot when I took a picture of the clone.

My calves are bigger around than most people's necks. I don't actually work out, or anything, i'm just on my feet a lot. my legs are solid muscle. it's kinda scary, actually. (had one of my employees comment on them. said he wished his legs looked more like mine. >.>)
