Awesome.

Slow Wave, for those of you who haven't heard of it, is a comic where you submit your dreams, the guy picks the most interesting/amusing ones, and draws them.

A while ago, I posted this to my dream journal, with a note at the end that I submitted it to Slow Wave just for the sheer hell of it. I wasn't really sure if it would actually go up or not.

It did.

In my dream, I kind of remember the cop reacting to my explanations more with "I've never heard of these strange concepts of which you speak, please tell me more" and less with that sort of stunned silent D:, and I wasn't really coming on to her as seems to be the implication in the last panel here, but that's fine. It says right on the submission form that "submissions may be edited for clarity, brevity, or plain whimsy," and it is funnier this way. Also, that's about the best rendition of real-life me ever. Anyway, thanks to [info]aplsos for pointing this out--I had completely forgotten.

Edit: New icon. Slight touching up in GIMP. Apparently GIMP's "Selective Gaussian Blur" filter for JPEG artifact removal/repair is nothing short of magic.

"it could be days before you even knew someone's gender"

xD xD xD

I think I may have a new comic to read.

Oh man, please tell me you made one of the cop's reaction too XD

That's so awesome. The last two panels make you look like the 'generic one-shot person of unusual behavior' in an episode of King Of The Hill. XD

No kidding about the JPEGgery, though! A comic like this should really be done as PNGs, either high-color or low-color would probably both give better results than a JPEG with this kind of high-contrast artwork...

(oh god, I'm taking my work home with me...)

I used to read Slow Wave in the Weekly Alibi, about four years ago.

Congratulations, puppy.

I think Woolman got one of these done once. I remember it involving Albert Einstein giving out autographs.

You seem to achieve things like this with quite incredible regularity.

(PS: That's mental)

I'm not sure that's the ideal way I would want that dream portrayed, were it mine. In particular, they missed a perfectly fine opportunity to draw a fursuiter in the sniper cat pose for the first panel. Still, you got a pretty sweet user icon out of it. Oh, nice shirt, by the way.
