The lizard returns
I AM WEAK, and therefore, I just got all the Oblivion expansion stuff. Like, all of it. I used Amazon (Super Saver Shipping because I'm cheap, but hey) to get Shivering Isles and that Knights of the Nine box that includes every downloadable expansion except Fighter's Stronghold, and then I downloaded Fighter's Stronghold from the official site. (So, currently I have Fighter's Stronghold but nothing else, but I think I will hold off on playing until the other stuff arrives so that can install it all at once, including the official and unofficial patches.)

THE GAY ARGONIAN RIDES AGAIN

I guess it says something good about this game that I loved it so much that my main complaint was that it ended when it was over and I had no other quest lines to do (rather than something blatantly out-of-character like joining the Dark Brotherhood.) I guess expansions are the perfect thing for "I don't want this game to be over yet," aren't they?

That's when you do what we did and make a completely opposite character so you can do everything the other way. The Dark Brotherhood quests are freakin' awesome! :D

My problem is that I tend to like a certain alignment and class/race archetype. There's a reason that my first playthrough was with a good-guy light armor hand-to-hand Monk type, and that's that I like good-guy light armor hand-to-hand Monk types. Going with plan B makes me feel like I'm missing something, and I never was good with doing the blatantly evil side of games that actually let you. I don't like being mean :(

Conversely, the expansions mean there is once again more work to be done with Syrius, who is my first choice and is awesome. :D

I understand that part. I think Oblivion was the first game I actually "dared" to play evil in, and that was because I watched Albert do it first. Usually, I'm too afraid of being berated by the NPCs for being a selfish bitch(Think KOTOR). Oblivion just tempted me by making it possible to steal every freakin' thing in the game.:P

See, I'm a huge wuss, so I kind of feel bad when I'm on an unstoppable reign of terror. "The pure-hearted and noble captain of the guard has been assassinated by the evil cult he was trying to bring to justice and now their influence is spreading?? What evil bastard could do such a thing and why haven't I been tasked to stop them yet?? ... Oh. :("

As soon as I read "THE GAY ARGONIAN RIDES AGAIN" the theme to the old(oldoldoldOLD) Zorro TV show ran through my mind.

The mental image of a certain fluffpup dressed in that particular garb brought much amusement. ^_^
