We need to play again sometime! I'm getting more and more comfortable with Pokemon Trainer, I think. Of course, this has come at the expense of me pretty much giving up on Meta Knight, so I only play one character ever now, but I like that character!

Man, that still counts as like three characters! I keep meaning to try him out...

I've been improving a bit too... meaning, "I actually found the dodge button" XP So much I still have to learn...

So, yes, rematch >:3

Indeed it does! That's one of the reasons I like Pokemon Trainer. I have this thing against characters who aren't always at full power (Lucario needs to be at high damage for his own attacks to get the power boost, the Ice Climbers can be crippled if you kill one of them...in Guilty Gear, Eddie's little shadow helper thing can only be out for so long and can be killed if hit with anything and takes a while to recharge, so you literally spend most of the match at half power.... Basically, I just need to know that at absolutely any point in the match, I am at full power and all options are available to me.

I was worried that Pokemon Trainer's individual Pokemon wouldn't measure up or that the Stamina system would be too crippling, but neither are true. Each Pokemon is just as powerful overall as any other character, and the switching tends to happen too often for Stamina to even come into effect, so Pokemon Trainer really is three legitimate full-fledged characters for the price of one. I can have the quick little ninja devil and the damage-dealing enforcer and the hard-to-kill heavy tank in the same match! I knew I had something good going with Trainer when I started thinking that one of Meta Knight's biggest weaknesses is that you have to be Meta Knight for the entire match. :O

And they each have some absolutely amazing moves to boast, too. Squirtle's Waterfall and down throw are fantastic, Ivysaur's tentacle-slapping (standing regular jab attack) and Bullet Seed are tremendous for damage and his up smash is one of the best in the game, and Charizard's Rock Smash is possibly one of the most damage-dealing attacks in the game (43% if at point-blank range and all the debris hits--3% more than Meta Knight's Final Smash!!) and Fly has enough knockback to be good for KOs.

I'm gushing here, but my point is that Pokemon Trainer is by far the coolest character in the game, at least to me. :D

Behold Bowser! ... Are, are you beholding?

I'm beholding! I'll admit your Bowser gets me pretty good. I said I like Pokemon Trainer, not that I'm tournament-level good with him or anything. ^>.>^

...

I'm sorry, Ivysaur has just informed me that you need to be pollinated. Hold still for a second. ^o.o^

Upon further consideration, I think there are a few things that perhaps you should be beholding! Like this Skarmory!

First one is awesome! I love how he/she (I've heard Bulbasaur referred to as female in that detailed review of the pokemon trainer you linked to before, but I'm not positive on the actual gender :P) balances on one foot when so close to the edge! Dude, we've got to play at some point! You weren't on when I could get on to play last time :(

I like to say my Ivysaur is a he just because I'm chauvinist like that. :P

And that right there has to be the strangest "I'm close to the edge and losing my balance" animation in the game! Most of the biped characters make sense (wave their arms in circles while leaning back and forth,) but that? You'd think if Ivysaur were really concerned about not falling off, all he'd have to do is not specifically do that! :P But it is cute.

And we do! Sorry I missed you last time, but we totally have to play one of these days! Hopefully next time!

Strange, but cute! But eh, most of the problem was my not being able to play much. Lot of running around being done that time. Should have more time this time around! If nothing else, hopefully get another cilich/sara RP going on. I miss that!

I do apologize about that too! I've been so damned busy as of late! And seems whenever I do have the time your sleep schedule winds up with you sleeping when I'm awake, or getting up just as I'm going to bed :P Somehow we'll get it to work out! Was actually hoping to get to do that this week, but then work decided I didn't get to take a day off. They suck :(

Don't worry; we'll get it eventually, and it'll be so amazing when we do that it will be worth the wait! It's not often I find someone I can go 16+ hours with, after all.

Same here; man that was a blast! I had no idea we were at it for so long until we had finished! I certainly can't wait for the next time! Ah well, guess all I can do is keep trying until our schedules finally work out in such a way that we can have another 16 hour session :P

It's pretty much a given that I'm getting this eventually, but I hope that everyone else hasn't got utterly fed up of it by the time I get around to seeing if anyone else is online.

It's hard to predict the future when I don't even know just how far in the future we're talking (there's a good chance I will be tired of this game ten years from now!) but I can safely say that excitement seems pretty high among pretty much everyone I know at the moment and shows no signs of slowing down yet.

Also, in my case in particular, the fact that my main is Pokemon Trainer really helps, since I really do love all most a fair number of things Pokemon a lot more than a 25-year-old male probably should. It's like a guilty pleasure that I don't even try hiding as much as you're probably supposed to for guilty pleasures. Yes, I'm way too into Pokemon and it's sad and I admit it, but what can I do except enjoy it at this point? :)

We just rented Brawl the other day and played the heck out of it for a night, and I suck at the Pokemon trainer. I suspect I'll just sit back and rain down the Kirby death... when my friends start learning to dodge the easy-to-dodge block, -finally-, then I can just swallow and suicide. I don't have to win, I just have to K.O.! :D
